17Ibs prepackaged magnesium anodes are made from an ‘active’ voltage metal alloy, which is more ‘active’ than the metal of the structures they are protecting.

17Ibs pre-packaged magnesium anodes are a form of sacrificial anodes and are usually installed to protect buried steel structures, like pipelines and underground tanks. Normally, 17Ibs bare magnesium anodes are centrally packed and in a permeable cotton bag with a backfill mixture and then firmly wrapped in a bag or paper outer lining (usually for shipping purposes) which should be removed prior to installation.
